A Cairo day tour commences with the airport pick-up by an air-conditioned vehicle, where the Egyptologist guide will welcome you. The very first halt shall be at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), recently constructed as the world's biggest archaeological museum, to see innumerable treasures of ancient Egypt, including the legendary collection of Tutankhamun. The tour ends with a visit to Cairo's very impressive landmark, the Citadel of Saladin, where you will behold the grand Mosque of Muhammad Ali and enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Followed by an Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant, we head towards the lively Khan El Khalili Bazaar, the most famous market of the city, where its busy alleys can be wandered through to shop for souvenirs and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. Lastly, your journey of history, culture, and the local experience is comfortably brought to an end with a hotel drop-off, making it one of the must-dos in Cairo.
The treasures of Tutankhamun will be transferred to the Grand Egyptian Museum on 1 November 2025.
