After a hotel breakfast in Al Ula, you are off for a second day of visiting the lovely Madain Saleh, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The ancient city was called "Al Hegra" and was a major trading outpost covering a 2000-square-meter compound famous for tombs carved into sandstone cliffs. It rests among the top things to do in Al Ula, the region's opulent history and magnificent scenery.

Diwan and Jabal Ithlib: Jabal Ithlib, a holy mountain, lies next to the Diwan, a rock-hewn hall where political and spiritual gatherings take place. A narrow passageway leads to a ceremonial path reminiscent of Petra's Siq.

Dadan was the capital for the kingdoms of Dadan and Lihyan and dates back to around the 9th-8th century BCE. It had over ten tombs carved out within its red cliffs, including the Lion Tombs, which mark prestigious burials. After that, visit the Old Town to discover Al Ula's rich historical narrative and leisurely walk through its lush oasis and agricultural lands.
