Vivi un’indimenticabile giornata alla scoperta dei tesori dell’Antico Egitto e della tradizione cristiana. Dopo il pick-up dal tuo hotel, visiterai le celebri Piramidi di Giza e il magnifico Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). Proseguirai verso il quartiere copto del Cairo, dove potrai ammirare la storica Chiesa Sospesa (Al-Muallaqa) e la Chiesa di San Sergio e Bacco (Abu Serga). Durante il tour è incluso un delizioso pranzo in un ristorante locale. Al termine, rientro in hotel.

Itinerario

Giorno 1

The day starts at 8:00 AM with the picking up of guests from their respective hotels in Cairo or Giza by the Egyptologist-in-charge of the holiday in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. Your adventure begins at Giza, where you will marvel at the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, learn about the fascinating history of the Old Kingdom, and, if you wish, enter the Great Pyramid with an extra ticket purchase. From a private panoramic viewpoint, take astounding pictures of all three pyramids, and then continue to the Great Sphinx and Valley Temple, once used for mummy open-bed rites. Alternatively, an optional camel or horse ride could be pursued around the plateau. Lunch consists of traditional Egyptian food in the afternoon, while the options include koshary, grilled kebab, or falafel, before moving on to the Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest archaeological museum worldwide, where ancient treasures come alive. Late afternoon time is spent in Old Cairo, known also as Coptic Cairo, marvelling at some spiritual sites like the Hanging Church, Abu Serga Church—built on top of the crypt where the Holy Family once stayed—and the old Ben Ezra Synagogue while meandering in the narrow lanes dripping in history and culture. With early-evening colors greeting you, back transfers occur to the hotels in Cairo or Giza, wrapping memories around a journey through the tombs of time in Egypt.

L'agenzia ha organizzato un itinerario su misura per noi, offrendoci un'ottima sistemazione, guide eccellenti in italiano, un servizio di trasporto efficiente e assistenza in italiano per tutta la durata del viaggio. Durante il nostro soggiorno abbiamo richiesto alcune aggiunte al programma (durante il mese di Ramadan la maggior parte dei siti archeologici e dei musei chiude molto presto, tra le 15 e le 16) e siamo sempre rimasti soddisfatti.
