Travel in style for an 8-day Egypt classic vacation to Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan, learning about the iconic cities and exploring famous landmarks. Itinerary

Day 1

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, a representative from Best Destination Tours will greet you and assist with your transfer to your hotel in Cairo. Begin your 8-day Egypt adventure with a warm welcome and a smooth check-in at your accommodation, where you can relax and prepare for your upcoming sightseeing.

Day 2

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your private tour guide for a full-day tour of Cairo’s most iconic sites. Visit the Pyramids of Giza—Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure—along with the Great Sphinx for an unforgettable view of these world wonders. For a unique experience, you may enjoy a camel ride around the pyramids.

Continue to Saqqara to see the Step Pyramid of Djoser and explore noble tombs such as that of Kagemni. After lunch at a local restaurant, head to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, where you’ll see the colossal statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx.

Day 3

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then begin your tour with a visit to the world-renowned Egyptian Museum, home to an outstanding collection of artifacts from every era of Egypt’s history.

After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to the Saladin Citadel and admire the stunning Mohamed Ali Mosque, an Ottoman-inspired architectural treasure.

The tour concludes in Old Cairo, where you’ll discover the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, and the Church of St. Sergius, each reflecting the city’s rich spiritual heritage. In the evening, transfer to the train station for your overnight journey to Luxor.

Day 4

Upon arrival in Luxor, begin your day on the West Bank by visiting the Colossi of Memnon, the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Valley of the Kings, with its impressive royal tombs.

After lunch, explore the magnificent Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple on the East Bank, connected by the historic Avenue of Sphinxes. Overnight stay at your Luxor hotel.

Day 5

After breakfast, travel to Aswan for a full-day tour. Visit the Aswan High Dam, an engineering marvel that tames the Nile’s annual floods. Continue to the Unfinished Obelisk, offering insights into ancient stone-carving techniques, before exploring the beautiful Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis.

End the day with a relaxing felucca ride on the Nile, enjoying sunset views of Elephantine Island and Aswan’s landmarks. Return to the hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 6

After breakfast, embark on an excursion to Abu Simbel to see the awe-inspiring temples of Ramses II. Carved into the mountainside, these temples stand as a testament to ancient Egyptian engineering and artistry.

Return to Aswan in the afternoon and board the overnight train back to Cairo.

Day 7

Upon arrival at Giza train station, meet your Best Destination Tours representative and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure.

Optional: Join a tour of Islamic Cairo, where you can explore the Fatimid district and shop at Khan El Khalili Bazaar

Day 8

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your return flight home, marking the end of your 8-day tour of Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan.
