St. Catherine Monastery is an Orthodox Greek monastery. During your Egypt vacations, you can explore its amazing walls, which house a citadel like no other, incredibly rich in important religious and historical structures.
Departure right after breakfast from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh. To the spa St. Catherine where you will visit St. Catherine's Monastery oldest monastery in Christianity- 220 km northwest of Sharm El Sheikh, located between the St. Catherine's Mounts and Moses Mount. It is an Orthodox Greek monastery and within its amazing walls rests a citadel like no other, incredibly rich in important religious and historical structures. Among its treasures is the Museum of St. Catherine, which houses icons attributed to the painter Angelos, one of the most famous artists of the 15th century, or to his peers, as well as all six icons by Michael Damaskenos, which are considered among the most important works of the Cretan School of the 16th century. From there we will drive to Dahab, the Flower Power City at the Red Sea, for a city and shopping tour. Mar 2025 • Friends Viaggio bellissimo anche se impegnativo. Visto luoghi da rimanere a bocca aperta,bello il misto tra navigazione sul Nilo e resort. Una mega approvazione va a Mamdouh El Solh, guida preparatissima, spiritosa non ci ha mai fatto annoiare. Complimenti vivissimi.
